Clinical Pathways
Clinical Pathways
What Are Clinical Pathways?
Clinical pathways in health care are standardized medical guidelines that define the specific steps in the treatment of various diseases or medical conditions. They are created by medical professionals and health organizations in order to improve the quality of health services, optimize resources and ensure efficiency and consistency in treatment.
Clinical pathways include recommendations for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and completion of the treatment process, aiming to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Due to the specifics of health care and the presence of medical specialists in the health facility, each one with a contract with the NHIF serves patients on a certain number of clinical paths.
Clinical pathways related to the treatment of oncological diseases in Bulgaria
This list is updated regularly and provides information on different clinical pathways through which cancer treatment can be carried out in Bulgaria. These clinical pathways will be different depending on the treatment facility you choose, so always look for up-to-date clinical pathway information that is available prominently within the facility itself, as well as on the official website or other communication channels.
In addition to admission through clinical pathways, patients can also be diagnosed by undergoing established outpatient procedures.
